What is Capital Cares?

Capital Cares is a non-profit organization which exists to serve organizations and people by helping to create a world where everyone is seen as an irreplaceable individual with immeasurable value.

How it works

Goods Donated

Every month, Capital Cares receives truckloads of goods that are generously donated by a national retailer. These goods are then sorted and stored in the Capital Cares warehouse.

Partners

Because donated goods range from diapers to furniture, our partners receive a list of available items that fit in-line with their organization. 

Distribution

Through our partner organizations that align with the Capital Cares mission, these goods are then distributed to those in need.

Executive Director

Jeremy Wold

As a member of the Capital Cares Leadership Team, Jeremy is passionate about helping others. Bringing over 25 years of business leadership experience and multiple nonprofit board positions, Jeremy brings a unique perspective to the vision of how Capital Cares can best serve our community in Utah and beyond. 

Outside of Capital Cares, you may find him at the climbing gym, skiing, or reading a nerdy book.

Eric Dowd

Often behind the scenes, Eric works tirelessly to ensure that essential goods reach the organizations and families who need them most. A longtime supporter of community-based initiatives, Eric previously founded Get Relational Ministries—an organization focused on expanding educational opportunities in Uganda—and continues to bring that same heart for service and global impact to his work today.

Carol Gililland

After years of coordinating large-scale operations in the healthcare sector, Carol was moved by the need she witnessed firsthand during international service trips. Today, Carol channels that same dedication into ensuring vital goods reach those most in need. Among her many accomplishments, she remains most proud of her family and her husband, John.

Give a gift

Through specific project or general donations, every dollar given to Capital Cares goes directly to the work happening to connect people and organizations with needs to material resources. Your financial partnership is needed for every truckload of goods delivered and item distributed. From financial donations to donations of stock or other assets, you can make an impact.

Volunteer

Come And Serve

Individuals and teams serve at our warehouse by sorting donated items like medical supplies, clothing, shoes, school supplies, personal care products and more. Stocking shelves and facilitating product distributions or assembling various kits for use locally and globally is also needed.
